I have always had a passion for photography. I was first exposed to it in high school by taking a traditional film photography class. There was something magical about developing my own film and watching it appear before my eyes. Seeing that ignited a fire inside me. After some time debating with myself in what to do as a career, I finally decided to trust my heart and pursue photography. I now have a Bachelor's of Fine Arts in Photography from the Academy of Art University in San Francisco, CA.
I love working with people and being able to capture the unexpected moments where they let their guard down and reveal their true selves. From my studies at AAU I also began to enjoy working in the studio doing food and product photography. Working with still life is a contrast from working with living, breathing people, but I find it to be an exciting challenge to bring inanimate objects to life. Besides doing commercial photography I also love doing fine art photography. All a photographer’s work is said to be a reflection of themselves and to be personal, but I feel fine art photography is even more personal and is just for me. I feel that working on personal projects allows me to unleash the creativity that is inside me. I love exploring my vision and perspective of the world around me through my images of the landscape and through self-portraits.
When I am not wandering around the area taking photos I can be found absorbed in a good book, finding a great movie to watch, or spending time with family and friends.
Thank you for taking the time to read about me. Of course I wouldn’t be where I am today without the support of my family, loved ones, and friends, especially the great friends I made while living in Prescott, Arizona. They have all been my willing assistants and models at all hours and in all weather conditions. I am forever in their debt.
